We purchased this computer for my mother-in-law because she is always on the go. It is lightweight and compact. It fits into her handbag/pocketbook and she has been on it since we gave it to her. She is able to Skype with her grandkids and the picture is very clear which she absolutely loves and the sound quality is great. A must have for those who are always traveling or must do research on the internet. Great buy.
Mini 10v Rocks!

This little netbook is fantastic. I was pleased with the performance out of the box, but after installing Mac OS X, the netbook has been transformed into my legitimate favorite computer – and I have several to choose from. Well done, Dell!
Great little computer!

It’s a great little laptop, a perfect starter for my 12 year old.
We all love the webcam built in to talk to relatives.
THe only drawback is that it really only has 3 hours of battery life.
We called Dell to ask what happened to the 8 hour promo and no one
was able to tell us why we don’t have it.
Other than that, it has nice resolution and decent almost full size
keyboard.
I would recommend it.
Netbook Makes Travel by Air More Comfortable
Rating:3 out of 5 stars
I’ve had my Dell netbook just over a week and overall I like it. I have a Dell Inspiron Laptop but after traveling by air this week and taking the netbook, it’s clearly much more confortable to use in transit. It’s less than half the weight of my laptop. Windows Starter 7 doesn’t have as many bells and whistles as XP but there’s lots on memory to work with. The performance, in terms of response time, is slower than expected. The screen is crystal clear and the size is more than adequate for my purposes. I gained proficiency with the smaller keyboard without difficulty but the mouse touchpad is trying my patience. Overall, I’m satisfied.
Great netbook

This is a great unit, does everything I want it to do. I use it exclusively for e-mail and shopping the net. The key board is large and easy to use. The mouse pad doesn’t scroll very well so I would suggest getting a wireless mouse. I like the Windows 7 operating system. Battery life may not be 8 hrs. but it is long.
Serves its purpose..

This little netbook does exactly what I needed it to. I already have a desktop that serves as my primary computer, I just needed something to do some writing on, and maybe some light late night internet surfing, and it does that just fine. However, the battery life goes quickly depending on what you’re doing. If you plan on using the webcam and running on the battery, it’s more likely to last about four hours rather than eight; If you’re going to be watching videos on youtube or what have you, then you’re down to about six. Nonetheless, the netbook serves its purposes and has given me no trouble at all. I strongly recommend it if you’re going to be using it lightly like me. Maybe not if you plan to make it your primary computer, though.
Love, Love, Loving This!

This compact computer is easy on the shoulder, the back, and the mind. I’m a graduate student and I was schlepping around my full-size Dell Laptop to coffee shops and class, and my back was killing me. So I decided to pick up a netbook to supplement my larger laptop for the purpose of taking notes in class, taking on long trips, and browsing the web at any location. The great thing about this is that it fits into my purse (and my purse isn’t that big), and it is easy on my muscles.
As for its workability, this computer works perfectly fine. I have placed the full Microsoft Office on it, as well as a variety of other applications, like Chrome, and it’s working seamelessly without stuttering. It’s a quick start-up, and it has yet to break down on me over the past few weeks.
The difficulties? The keyboard takes a bit to get used to, and the mouse is quite small. I have a travel mouse I use on occasion, but with a little practice you can make it work.
Finally, I shopped around — a lot — at a local Best Buy, checking out the Samsung and Acer and other versions, and there really was no difference in them. They all come pretty standard with 1 GB internal, 160-250 GB storage, etc. The biggest difference is the processor, and the Dell version comes with a sturdy, quality processor. Also, the netbook prices on Amazon are by far much cheaper than if you were to order your netbook off the company site or in a store like Best Buy. So my tip? Buy it online and save money!
